Tips to come up with some common measures of skin care?
Hi, i’m doing this assignment for medicine in my school which requires me to list 5 common sense measures for good skin care that the average consumers can perform at home. It also has to not involve expensive skin care products and be general in a sense as not to list specific products or company by name.
I’ve already come up with "washing your face regularly" but there are still 4 more methods to go, can anyone help me do this?
-Steam your face with hot water about once every week to open up and unclog your pores so you can cleanse your face properly and get all that dirt out. "steam" your face (lean gently over a pot/bowl of hot water and put a towel over your head to create a tent so you get the full steaming effect) (: (I do this myself)
-A nice natural moistuizer is Olive Oil (Take a little and rub on hands to dispense and then put on face)
-A great natural "scrub" for exfoliating the face that’s made of home-made items is a sugar scrub. Take some regular white cane sugar and a little bit of water and use to gently scrub the face. Great exfoliant.
-Lemon/tomato juice is great for lightening/brightening the face and help your face glow. It also helps dry out acne/blemishes and prevent/lighten scarring especially from acne on the face. You can also use lemon juice on other parts of the body to lighten/reduce scarring
-Shave with conditioner to get really soft, smooth skin (this works especially for women for their legs)
-Pluck/tweeze after the shower since your pores are open and your skin is softer and moist. This will make tweezing easier and less painful.
-Cucumbers under eyelids help eliminate/reduce under eye dark circles.
-Drink water with lemon juice daily in the morning. This is great for your skin and cleansing your body.
-Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day
-Moisturize dry feet with Vaseline at night and put on some cotton socks and sleep with them on. When you wake up you will have soft, supple feet. This can be done with hands as well (wear cotton gloves).
-Apply some aspirin on a pimple and it will dry it out
-Tea Tree Oil is great in getting rid of acne. Apply to blemishes/trouble areas/acne/pimples/etc. 2-3 times a day until they disappear
-A great foot scrub for dry/cracked feet and dry elbows is Kosher’s salt and Olive Oil. Rub on feet and elbows to get rid of dead skin cells and soften skin and reveal healthy natural and supple skin (:
-Potato juice has great skin lightening properties as well
-Mix oatmeal and honey or yogurt for a great face mask that is both moisturizing and heals blemishes/acne/scars
-Egg yolk is great for dry skin as a mask
-Egg whites are great for oily skin and can be used as a mask as well
