How many times can we fall victim to the marketing that the major cosmetics companies feed us every year about how safe, and effective their brand new facial skin care products are?  Most of us have bought into these lies only to try the facial care products over a period of weeks only to find out in the end that we have literally thrown our money away.

Why is it that there are seemingly no facial skin care products that work the way that they are advertised to?  The major cosmetics companies always market their newest creams and lotions as if they were the most revolutionary products in the cosmetics industry, because it’s simply a smart marketing tactic.  They know when they are doing it though that the product is useless.

The reason that they know that their facial care products won’t do anything for you is because they used inferior ingredients in order to make the product.  These companies simply bank on the fact that the average consumer does not have the knowledge necessary to be discriminating about what ingredients are in the products that they use, and in most cases they are right in that assumption.

Most consumers don’t know enough about facial skin care products, and the ingredients that they should and shouldn’t contain to make an educated decision as to whether or not they should be using certain products.  I have seen many a case in department stores and pharmacies where the shopper didn’t even look at the ingredients label before they put the product in their cart.

“Oh, look, isn’t that the new collagen facial care product that has been in all of the advertisements lately?”  “The company says that this product will reduce your lines and wrinkle starting the first day that you use it, and within a week you’ll look 10 years younger.”  “Oh, and doesn’t it smell good?  I’m going to give it a try.”  Does that sound familiar at all?

What people like this don’t seem to understand is that the most important part of the success of any facial skin care product is not what the manufacturers tell you that it can do, but it lies in whether or not it has the correct ingredients in it to be effective.  The fact is that if the people in the scenario in the last paragraph had known that collagen molecules are too dense to be absorbed by your skin they never would have bought the product.
