i seem to have shiny skin, so i usually wear a blotting powder from victoria's secret, and the bare minerals over that, sometimes with Lancome concealer to. but i always get greasy by the end of the day. and i always blot with the VS powder throughout the day, but it makes my skin look flaky from the bare minerals not staying in place.
my question is what's a better makeup/ care regemin for shiny skin?? also how can i keep my makeup in place?
The question is whether you have oily skin or is the product you're using oil based? If oily skin - an oily skin care regimen. I like aularale.com/7002's moisture balancing for my oily skin. I masque 2-3 times weekly to control my oil and get rid of dead skin cells. I also use the vitamin c serum to exfoliate and keep the zits zapped before day/night moisturizer. If product is oil based, change. Also, I find that mixing product lines doesn't work well

hey, im 13 and i use the maybelline Pure Makeup oil-free 50% water foundation, and it apparently isnt bad for you skin. but lots of people on Yahoo! answers are saying it has charcoal and stuff in it!
here are all the ingredients:
Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerine, Titanium Dioxide, Propylene Glycol, Kaolin, Polyacrylamide, Silica, Phenoxyethanol, C9-15 Fluoroalcohol Phosphates, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Aluminum Hydroxide, Methylparaben, Laureth-7, Tocopheryl Acetate, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Sodium C8-16 Isoalkylsuccinyl Wheat Protein Sulfon, Dimethiconol, Ethylparaben, Butylparaben, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Propylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Matricaria Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract
May contain: Titanium Dioxide CI 77891, Iron Oxides CI 77492, CI 77499, CI 77491, Mica, Blue 1 CI 42090
are any of these bad for your skin or bad for oily/acne prone skin?
thanks soo much! ♥♥
LOL…it's amazing how Maybelline, Revlon, and Covergirl bring out "mineral makeup" and then have the nerve to call it "pure". No, the only products that are "pure" on that ingredient list is glycerine, iron oxides, and titanium dioxides…the rest of the ingredients are unneeded, unhealthy ingredients that not only clog pores…but can make you break out terribly.
Here is my rule of thumb: If the makeup ingredient list says that more than TEN ingredients were used in the powder…it is most likely NOT pure.
If the makeup was found at Wal-Mart or any other store, and is less than $10…than it is most likely NOT pure.
Try sheercover or afterglowcosmetics for REAL mineral makeup…the rest of the crap found in stores (including Bare mineral and Bare escentuals) is not good for your skin, at all…..

I have super dry skin especially on my cheeks. I need some kind of makeup (powder or foundation) that will not dry out my skin even more.
I exfoliate, moisturize, drink a lot of water…anything you can think of for skin care. I just can't find the right makeup for my skin.
Currently, I use Shiseido pressed powder. It tends to dry out my skin. I looked into mineral based makeup (like Bare Minerals) but I'm pretty sure this will also make my skin dry out even more.
Any suggestions???
I had the same exact problem with finding makeup for my dry skin and know your frustration. Try "Makeup Forever" (sold at Sephora). I just use the concealer and foundation and it does wonders to cover up my scars and it works well with my dry skin. It is a little pricey but costs about the same as Bare Minerals (which doesn't work well with dry skin). I hope you have a Sephora in your area because Makeup Forever is da bomb!

bare essentials. it's makeup that's actually good for your skin. it can reduce blemishes and acne for younger women and prevent the discoloration in skin that older women tend to get. this makeup is actually good for your skin. my sister bought it about a year or two ago, and it makes her face look more natural than any makeup i've ever seen. also, i got a pamplet from lancome that has specific skin care for each age. at thrity, when you have your first signs of aging, it recommends primordiale optimum or high resolution. for 40's: renergie or renergie microlift. 50's: absolute premium Bx, and 60's: Platineum hydroxy(a)-Calcium.

with that much money like brushes, exclophatiors, mouisterisors, eyeshawsows, foundation and eyeliner and of course lipgloss ? BTW im talking about MAC products i dont know how much they cost though also im looking into getting some lessons
MAC is way too expensive.
You should check out mark. $40 will go a long way with their affordable, high-quality products.
Their i-mark eyeshadows are just $4. Most of their lipsticks and glosses are $5-6. All of their foundations are $8. Their brushes are good quality and cost between $5 - $8 each.
And they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. And right now shipping is free with a $25 order.

Alo vera is a gel derived from a plant it's all natural and is not man made but if you really want to know the chemical make up it will have to be done in a lab although the reconstitution may not be the same when you put it back together.
Alo has been proven to have good skin care quallities and was even used by the ancient egyptian royals.
