Murad Skin Care

to get rid of the few blemishes i have from past acne scars. I'm a guy so I'm not too familiar with skin products and such but from what I hear vitamin E is good to get rid of acne scars, hence the use of an aloe enriched cream. But I'm afraid that b/c the cream is greasy, it clog my pores and cause a few zits? I don't know, I'm pretty clueless about this stuff… Ladies, care to enlighten me?
Like I initially said, the doubt is that the grease from the cream may contribute to the appearance of zits. But I'm not entirely sure, which is why I need help…
Just to clarify, the cream I'm talking about will absorb…. I can't just put it on and then whipe it off. … it's…. it's like a lotion… feel me?

ye for sure
apply it after you come out of the shower
nice and clean
helps brinng back moisture that gets stripped off by hot water in the shower
and helps bring moisture lost by soap
thats if you use it
i suggest you change to something soap free to wash with

I cannot even function at all I feel like a zombie but I cannot get anyone to listen to me. Someone anyone help!! thank you

I don’t know how you have lived this long taking all he above medicines. Get away from that guy as quick as you can and seek help somewhere else. My wife takes a lot on medicine, but yours makes hers look like a drop in the bucket. Apparently you are in a lot of pain, so you do need some pain medications, but the ones he has you on are habit forming and if you stop taking them, your muscles will let you know it. The oxycontin you are speaking of is probably Percocet. There have been many law suits about that one. The other one is habit forming also. My wife takes a time released MS Contin, 45 Mg’s three times a day. It is morphine. Effexor makes you suicidal when taken with other antidepressants. Phenegran should never be taken with narcotic pain medicines. Seriquial and effexor are one in the same. Why don’t you try your luck with an Acupuncturist who may help you more and get you off most of those pills. Watch the iron, to much of it will build up in your body. I wouldn’t take that every day unless you are having low blood iron. But if you have been taking it this long, I would think that your iron was built up enough by now. If you don’t have ashma why take the inhalers. A multivitamin should also give you all the iron, calcium and and C you need. Watch for skin rashes, stinging and irratation with the bactroban. A lot of the medicines you are taking shouldn’t be mixed, like taking them at the same time, and some you take with food, some on an empty stomach. You can go on the medical site, Web MD, medlineplus or the mayo clinic and look up all of your medicines and see for yourself why they are prescribed, their side effects and lots of pother information. I feel so sorry for you Kra and I certainly hope that you can get some much much needed help. Surely out there somewhere you can find someone who can truly help you. I don’t know what you call them, but there are Medical People out there that can take a look at all that guy has you on and sort out some of the mess. Good luck to you.

(Skip to last paragraph to avoid my sad little rantings…I re-posted to get an answer to my question).

I cannot even explain how devastated I am.

I went to get my 12-week ultrasound yesterday, feeling great about my pregnancy. I was taking excellent care of myself, exercising, eating well, taking vitamins, etc. I was starting to “show,” my uterus expanded into my upper abdominal cavity, people said my skin had the “Pregnancy Glow.” I was still having symptoms, like round ligament pain, tender breasts, growing pains in my uterus, etc. It definitely felt (feels) like my pregnancy is progressing normally.

I had just told EVERYBODY that we were pregnant because I was in my 12th week and, apparently, in the safe-zone.

This was an unplanned-wanted pregnancy. We had just gotten used to the idea that in early May, we would be a family of three. We bought tons of pregnancy books, yellow and green baby clothes, I had a nice foundation to my maternity wardrobe, we were picking out names from a book. We shifted away from fear and into excitement! We were elated and our relationship was stronger than it has ever been.

Everything felt like it was on right track until yesterday.

Our hearts just dropped when we saw that screen with an empty little sac. I’ve never felt so empty. It’s like the world around me just went quiet.

I am in my 12th week and have had no signs of a miscarriage. No spotting, no cramps, no nothing.

My question is this: I have never had a D&C and I have one scheduled for tomorrow at 11:45 am. Can anyone share with me their experiences? What do they do? What does it feel like? Can I return to work that day? The following day? How long does it take for your body to get back on track? Menstruation? Ovulation? I’m a little scared.

Thanks in advance for everyone’s thoughtful answers.

I’m so sorry for your loss. That’s called a blighted ovum and I had the exact same thing happen to me at 9 weeks over the summer. Only, I had my three young kids and husband there with me. We were all upset to see that empty sac. It hurts. A lot.

As for the D&C, they will likely use general anesthesia so you’ll be asleep. I wouldn’t go back to work that day if I were you. I would give it several days. I felt normal again by Monday and had mine done on a Thursday afternoon. The discomfort afterward is minimal as is the bleeding. Nothing more than a period.

I also got my period back three weeks later (they say 4-6 weeks is average) and ovulated 11-12 days after the start of my period, so almost 5 weeks later. We’re pregnant again now-10 weeks- and have seen a perfectly healthy baby. My doctor told me that the blighted ovum is rare and isn’t likely to happen again. Thankfully, it didn’t for me this time.

Good luck. I know I felt a lot better when the d&c was done. It gave me a sense of closure for the situation. Let us know how you’re feeling then.

Recently, I've been trying to switch my skin and hair care products from the traditional, chemical-laden ones to more natural/organic ones. To those of you who have tried the natural/organic facial moisturizers out there, what are your favorites?

Some things I'm looking for:

*Natural/organic (safe ingredients, non-toxic, no chemicals such as parabens, sulfates, etc.)
*Oil-free (I have combination skin that tends to be oily in the t-zone but normal/dry elsewhere.)
*Effective (I want the product to be more natural but I also want it to actually work.)
*Ingredients like Vitamin C and green tea (I've heard these were really good for the skin, so I would love to have a product that incorporates these, if possible.)
*Preferably SPF (natural SPF like titanium dioxide or something similar - no chemical sunscreens)

Thanks!
Also, if you have any other favorites, such as cleansers, toners, makeup, body lotions, hair care products, etc., I'm open to those suggestions, too. I'm just looking for safer, more chemical-free products that I feel good about putting on my body.

Burt's Bees products are all chem free, and they are excellent. They contain royal jelly, which is a special substance that bees make to feed to their queen (and only their queen). A lot of different cultures have promoted the use of royal jelly, in tea, creams, etc. because of all its beneficial properties.

Burt's Bees has all kinds of products — face cream, lotion, gloss, … I'm not sure what all they have, but its quite a bit. They used to be sold mostly in health food stores, but they're getting more and more popular so you can probably find them in a drugstore now.

Best for facial skin?

For a guy, what are some good facial care products? I don't have acne problems, but just looking for general tips for great looking skin on the face. Also, should I take certain vitamins, perhaps? I eat a pretty healthy diet, with fruits and veggies, so I do get whatever they naturally contain, but wondering if maybe I should take something on top of that? More Vitamin C, maybe?

My skin is actually in pretty good condition, but still, just wondering what people's' general tips are. Thanks!

nivea for men

I don't want to take hair growth supplement, but i'd like to know what vitamins I can take to help my hair be healthier, and hopefully, grow a little quicker. I take pretty good care of it. I don't hot-style very often and I take Hair skin & nails vitamins + vitamin c + a multivitamin ( lol )
Do you know what vitamins stimulate health of your hair ?
or Do you know of a growth supplement that actually works ?
thanks !

calcium! when you get more calcium, your nails grow right? well you hair and nails are both made of keritin. so whats good for the nails, is good for the hair!

I exercise 5 days a week, I don't smoke, I drink 2 liters of water daily, I use sun block every day, and I take vitamins (C and E). Do you think it is worth it for my future years? Or will it be the same sh** and it's always been crap I've believed?

Yes, it will make a difference. It already is, you just don't see it visually yet. You have increased stamina, your body is utilizing it's nutrition better, and your immune system is thanking you because it is running at full throttle. Don't give up your good habits, it is must easier to maintain them than to stop and start up again. Great job on your lifestyle!

What vitamin/mineral supplements are best for supporting healthy skin?

I'm not looking for anything complicated; only reputably effective things, such as vitamin C.

Vitamin E is a great way to give you great skin. You can also use vitamin C creams that are available in your drug store.

WHOLE FOODS skin care?

I want to try organic skin care, and I hear I can find plenty at Whole Foods… can anyone tell me what brands to look for? Something with Rosemary, Jojoba oil, Vitamin C and witch hazel?? Thank you for those who respond!!!

go to www.ask.com or go to a health store and ask if they hav anything like that. good luck!

Please respond if you have tried merlot skin care/ it is an all natural line found at walgreens that contains grape seed extract and is said to be a natural antioxidant more powerful than vitamin C-

It is true that grape seed extract is an antioxidant, but be careful about the packaging of these products because any antioxidant loses its power if unproperly packaged (light and air is bad: the best would be an airtight pump dispenser in an opaque container). Also, the concentration in these products doesn´t seem to be enough for any significative results.
