Winning Tactics for Choosing the Best Skin Care Products
Have you ever wondered why it is that it is so difficult to find skin care products that are safe, and effective? Have you ever struggled to try and figure out which of the products that are available are the best products? Well don’t worry because all of us have gone through the same thing that you are facing right now.
One of the major reasons that it is hard to get skin care products that are safe and effective is because of the quality of the ingredient that the cosmetics companies use when they make them. There is absolutely nothing in the vast majority of these cosmetics that makes them worth buying, and many of the ingredients being used can be downright dangerous for you to use.
A lot of the major cosmetics companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each year trying to convince everyone that it is they that possess the best skin care products being made, but almost none of them can actually live up to that claim. No company that regularly uses carcinogens in their products should be allowed to make such lofty statements about their products either.
If this were a perfect world then all of the skin care products that were available to us would be all natural, safe, and effective, but unfortunately it is not. What that means is that we have to be particularly careful in order to root out all of the products that could be harmful to our health. This means learning about what is bad for you, and being able to spot these ingredients in your cosmetics products.
The very best skin care products will have inside of them simple plant based oils and emollients, which work wonderfully with your skin’s own natural oil. Oils such as macadamia, avocado, grape seed, and Babassu palm oil are all excellent choices for deeply moisturizing your skin. Extracts such as Maracuja passion fruit are also wonderful for you.
One extract that is used in the skin care products brought to us by a company in New Zealand is especially useful, because of its ability to shut off the enzyme in your skin that has been lowering the level of hyaluronic acid in your skin. Phytessence Wakame allows for the return of this structural tissue to the healthy level that you enjoyed when you were younger.
Many believe that this company has the best skin care products because of the effect that the combination of Phytessence Wakame and Functional Keratin have on your appearance. Functional Keratin significantly increases the amount of collagen and elastin that your body makes in order to make you look years younger than you actually are.
This company’s skin care products give you everything that you have ever looked for in cosmetics, but could never really find. The combination of safety and effectiveness make these formulas far better than those of the other cosmetics companies doing business right now, and you would be wise to give them a try.

Collagen Supplements and Anti Aging Skin Care
Ever since companies began producing them collagen supplements have been on the mind of everyone that is searching for the answer to attaining younger looking skin. The real question is will these products actually work in affecting the way that your skin looks, or this just another gimmick that sets you up for disappointment the way that the topical collagen products always did.
The real reason that the topical products never could give you the results that you were looking for is that collagen has too large a molecular structure for your skin to be able to absorb it. Therefore the substance could never get to where it was needed in order to be able to be of any good. The cosmetics companies knew this full well, but sold their useless products to you anyway.
Now the question is whether or not these collagen supplements are going to fall into the category of being the same sort of scam that the topical collagen products turned out to be. The answer to this question is not quite as simple as was the answer to the why the other cosmetics products didn’t work. This is because these products can be effective, but only for some things.
You see, these types of supplements are not exactly as new as many people think that they are. They started out containing Type two collagen, which is primarily designed to help reinforce joint tissue. It was used by professional athletes, bodybuilders, and weekend warriors as a way to strengthen their joints in order that they be able to withstand the rigors of their individual sports.
Collagen supplements weren’t being marketed as the answer to aging skin until recently. These new cosmetic formulas contain both Type one and Type two collagen, which are responsible for making up the structure of your organs, your artery walls, and of course your skin. These two are also used in the maintenance of these systems, as new collagen has to be produced for their repair.
This is exactly why your skin loses the battle as your body begins to produce less, and less collagen as we get older. Since maintenance of the vital areas of the body take a front seat during this decline so far as resources for maintenance goes. You skin begins to wrinkle and sag do to there being steadily less tissue available for its upkeep.
So the answer to do collagen supplements help you to look younger is that it is possible that it will help, but only marginally. What you really need is a natural substance that will greatly enhance the production of both your skin’s natural collagen, and elastin. This will go a long way to erasing your lines and wrinkles, and also to making your skin fuller and firmer.
What will help you far more than collagen supplements are products containing the protein grouping called Functional Keratin. This is the ingredient that you need if you want to truly be able to maintain younger looking skin into the later years of your life.

Acne Skin Care Products – 6 Time-tested Tips To Battle Acne
1. Things to Keep in Mind
The biggest thing to keep in mind when shopping around for acne skin care products right for you is that everyone’s skin reacts differently to various products. There are many different kinds of acne skin care products to choose from with widely different ingredients and formulas. If you have acne prone skin, your skin will probably tend to me more sensitive to the various chemicals you may wind up using. You should take it easy when trying out various acne skin care products. Check for a bad reaction before you cover your entire face.
Remember, what works for others may not work for you. The only way to find out for sure if it will work for you is to try an acne skin care product and see for yourself.
2. Facial Cleansers
Probably the most often-used acne skin care products are various facial cleansers. Try and find one that is gentle to your skin, and matched to your skin type. Oily skin needs different care than dry skin, for example. It is important to use a different kind of soap for your face than your body; most body soaps tend to be too harsh for use on your face, especially if you have active acne. But whatever you choose to use, stay with it. Changing to different chemicals or formulas, especially after using one specific brand of acne skin care product for a while, can cause more harm than good. And be careful of skin toners! They can dry your skin out, making you more prone to acne. If you use a toner, you should also consider using a moisturizer.
3. Moisturizers
If you are using any acne skin care products with benzoyl peroxide, you should consider using a moisturizer, since it tends to dry your skin. Most wipes and some facial cleansers contain ingredients such as salycylic acid that can also dry your skin, so you should use a moisturizer as well.
4. Razors
Regardless of whether you use a bladed razor or an electric of some type, you must be very careful to avoid damaging your skin, especially if you have active acne. Keep the blades clean, and avoid cutting any blemishes you may have. The bacteria that cause acne can easily infect any razor nicks. The use of shaving cream can help prevent further irritating the skin. Whichever type of razor you use, you must be careful to avoid spreading or worsening your skin condition.
5. Healthy Inside, Healthy Out
Since acne is a bacterial infection, anything that boosts the body’s ability to fight off infection can help keep you acne free and reduce the healing time of any acne you may have already. Taking a good multivitamin rich in vitamins a and c help your immune system, while vitamins B6 and E, for example, are good for your skin. Foods with lots of sulfur such as garlic and onions can help speed the recovery time of any acne you may have.
6. Final Thoughts
With such a bewildering array of acne skin care products out there, it may save you time and effort to go see a dermatologist. They can make recommendations based on their experience and point you towards the products that are right for you. They can also give you advice on proper use of any products they may recommend.

Dry Skin Care Product Clears Skin Up Fast And Naturally
The good news is that today, there are many types of treatments and natural treatments to choose from, for your dry skin. But there is one natural dry skin care product that will clear your skin up overnight naturally. Only a lucky few of us have ‘normal’ skin; the rest of us have dry, oily or combination skin; if dryness is your skin problem, read on.
The epidermis contains no blood vessels, and cells in the deepest layers are nourished by diffusion from blood capillaries extending to the uppermost layers of the dermis. The average square inch of skin holds 650 sweat glands, 20 blood vessels, 60,000 melanocytes, and more than a thousand nerve endings. The outermost layer of epidermis consists of 25 to 30 layers of dead cells.
When the oil glands do not supply enough lubrication to the skin, the skin becomes dehydrated. Skin gets exposed to the elements, especially in winter, causing it to become drier. Serious skin complications, including a dry skin condition, can arise for people with type 2 diabetes.
Dry skin can be caused by a deficiency of vitamin A, systemic illness, overexposure to sunlight or some medications. If you break out on the skin around your eyes, it could be the shellac in your mascara; buy a shellac-free mascara like Ecco Bella’s. Dry skin can be due to a genetic condition but it’s not common.
Good clear skin is usually a reflection of having a good working non-constipated digestive system. Eat an avocado every day; put it in your salad or mash it up and eat it with a spoon. Eating fruits that are red or orange in color will help improve you skin health and help to prevent acne.
Keep baths or showers short using warm, never hot water. Dry and pat your skin gently and thoroughly after a bath or shower if it’s extremely dry or irritated. Take fewer baths or showers; they’ll dry out your skin even more.
The best natural dry skin care product is coconut oil. When you buy coconut oil, make sure you get the kind that hasn’t been refined, processed and deodorized. Coconut oil is the best healing, soothing, and moisturizing treatment I’ve found for dry skin; in fact for all types of skin conditions, skin eruptions, pimples, acne, milia, irritations, cuts, burns, fungus, etc. Apply coconut oil daily to your skin to heal, moisturize and soothe it.
If you have acne, eczema or any type of dermatitis coconut oil will treat and quickly heal these skin conditions too. Coconut oil is very inexpensive – a great, cheap home remedy for all skin conditions.
Sunlight, water and air play an important role in keeping the skin healthy. Many skin conditions can be converted into clear, healthy skin by using natural home remedies.
Following some of the above suggestions and treatments, and most of all coconut oil, your dry skin should be well on its way to recovery. And did I mention to drink lots and lots of water every day? You should see the results with improved skin within a few days following these dry skin tips and information.

Barbara Harrington Shares Her Make Up and Skin Care Tips to Create That Perfect Finish
Many of my clients ask me, well…how do you create a flawless finish on my face? What we want to do is enhance one’s own beauty in applying makeup, but to do this…it begins with having good skin. You see, your skin is like a canvas. And the first place to start is with is foundation, the building blocks to a beautiful face.
I know, I know…Foundation….Yeah, Right?!
Many women skip this step altogether or simply use the wrong shade or type of foundation. But what we’re all forgetting here; to get that clean, fresh start…we need to start with a great canvas to support our master piece.
Ok…I think you are getting the picture.
Here are some of my best tips for enhancing your own beauty personality Style in creating your best face forward. And it’s not as hard as you think.
One of the biggest questions I get from my clients is this: Do I Really Need Foundation???
And …let’s say you have great skin….I’d say. You are one lucky person. Then…all you need is first to apply a good moisturizer (SeneGence SeneDerm) Day Time Moisturizer, which has been tested to be an SPF equivalent of 15). Next, you need is a little concealer and blush. Now…if you are bit red, or pale, has uneven tone, large pores, or acne, etc., then you need to cover your skin with foundation (perhaps mix the moisturizer with the foundation to a tinted moisturizer really) to create that flawless finish.
How does that sound?
Most of the complaints I hear….it is so hard in choosing the right shade of foundation. What is interesting with the SeneGence’s MakeSense Foundation is that it does a color correction within your family of colors. But again….to really do your face justice and choose the right color for you, what I need to know to help you is …your color tone – warm or cool and to pin point the tone of foundation, what you skin looks like…is it pale, medium or darker shades. Then, the idea is to really blend with your own coloring, because it is very hard to exactly match. What I do next is choose three colors and see which one basically disappears into the jar line area…so that I can see if it is appropriate for you neckline as well. What you don’t want is a demarcation between you neck and you face. The next step is to see how it looks on your skin. Please know that I have many clients I have never met, and what I do is ask a series of questions, a talk about color so that I can choose the best color for you.
Make Sense?
Most women don’t think about this, but a wonderful aspect about wearing foundation, is its ability to fight the elements like sun, wind and cold, harsh winter air. Even a foundation, even without the SPF still provides a good barrier, especially against sun damage. With SeneGence’s Foundation, it does have an SPF equivalent of 15 and couple that with the moisturizer, and it has been rated as an SPF equivalent of 30 by independent laboratory testing Then truly, you will never regret saving your skin. It’s all about beautiful skin.
To Blush or Not to Blush…..Now that is great question:
Please know that by only applying foundation or base, you have that look that is flat in my opinion. It is kind of a dead look. To put your best face forward, you really want to create a three-dimensional face— one that provides warmth, and enhances skin and bone structure. In order to give your face that depth….one of the things you need to do is add some blush to highlight the “structures” of your face.
A real common question – can I sleep in this make up? . No….If you are going to sleep for the night, it is best to wash your face. Yes…Mom was right.
Ok….many of us are guilty of sleeping with our make up on. So understand, it really isn’t good for your skin. So..it is essential in having an easy, simple routine. Make sure you have a good cleanser and skin protector steps…since these are essential. And the same for your morning routine.
I know when I sleep in my makeup….my skin doesn’t feel its best and when I sleep with eyeliner or mascara, oh…I know that I didn’t give my eyes or my skin a chance to relax as well.
Senegence’s Anti-Aging Skin Care is great for waking up to refreshed skin. At night, your first remove the color technology with Foops! And then, your wash your face with a 3-in-1 cleaner that cleans, exfoliates, and tones. Next apply an eye crème, SeneGence’s feels so silky and smooth and melts like butter, and finally apply the night cream. It feels so luxurious.
SeneGence’s Skin Care System (Day, Night, Eye Crème, and Cleanser) costs $135 (plus handling/shipping) and my clients all admit it’s worth the investment.
In the morning, you will repeat, with the 3 – in – cleanser, moisturizer with a lighter moisturizer for day, and then apply your makeup steps.
Remember, whatever you do, treat you skin with TLC (tender loving care), because it is never too late improve the canvas you were born with.
